Garrison & Support
Garrison operations let you move units to defend another base. You can reinforce your own bases, and where diplomacy allows, support an allied player's base.
How garrison works
- Launch from the tactical map (help) by selecting a friendly target and choosing Garrison / Support.
- Mixed forces travel at the speed of the slowest selected unit.
- On arrival, units become stationed support at the target. They defend if the base is attacked.
- Stationed units remain owned by the sending player. The receiving player cannot use them for raids, scouts, command transfer, or other offensive operations.
- Support stays until recalled by its owner or returned by the base owner.
Stabilising bases
Reinforcing stabilising bases is often essential. A newly captured base may be protected from normal raids and command transfer, but a weak garrison can still cost you the base if reclamation or post-stabilisation pressure succeeds.
Recall & return support
- Recall — the unit owner pulls their stationed forces home. Units travel back over normal travel time.
- Return Support — the base owner sends foreign support home (for example unwanted or mis-timed reinforcements).
- If supporting another player, combat casualties are suffered by the owner of the supporting units.
Alliance support
Support to another player's base requires both commanders to be in the same alliance. Support cannot be sent to hostile or neutral bases.
