Indigenous Remnants
As PMC registrations grow, scattered indigenous remnant outposts appear on the map (orange markers). They represent holdouts of Sarachovia's pre-PMC military who oppose contractor expansion. They are not player accounts — treat them as a living theatre hazard, not a rival PMC.
Who they are
- All remnants belong to [IRF] Indigenous Remnant Forces.
- A new outpost is seeded roughly every third player registration (alongside derelict sites on every second registration).
- Their dossiers show a commander name and back story only — no theatre record or messaging.
What they do
- Remnant bases develop on their own — upgrading buildings and training patrol forces when they have resources.
- They may launch small AI raids against nearby player bases that are lightly defended. Raids are infrequent and not meant to overwhelm an active commander, but they will punish bases that neglect garrison training.
- Battle reports from remnant attacks are clearly labelled [AI Indigenous Remnant] so you can tell them apart from player operations.
What you can and cannot do
- Cannot capture remnant bases through command transfer — they are invulnerable to ownership changes (same as staff theatre sites).
- Can scout and raid them like any other base to strip resources and destroy units, slowing their buildup.
- Coordinated alliances can routinely raid nearby remnants to keep patrol pressure off newer members.
